Joining NMPSA
Full Members
Cities, Counties, Townships, Villages and Government Agencies. Any unit of government in the UP. Each municipality shall designate one voting member and an alternate. This designation may be changed via written notification from the municipality at any time. Any employee or official of a municipality, county or council of government in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan may take advantage of NMPSA education programs.
Associate Members
Non-profit institutions or organizations whose operations are closely allied with a local unit of government in the Upper Peninsula shall be eligible for Associate membership. Associate membership shall be in the name of the institution and/or organizations. Associate members shall be entitled to all rights and privileges of the Association except voting.
Membership Fees
Twenty dollars ($20) per full-time employee with a $100 minimum and a $2,000 maximum per organization per year. Memberships will be due annually, and letters will be sent or emailed before the first of the year.
Additional fees for those attending any program shall be forty dollars ($40) per person per whole day, and twentyfive dollars ($25) per half day to offset expenses. Whole day trainings include lunch and half day will include continental breakfast. Registrations and payments are due to NMPSA one week prior to the training, unless special circumstances are arranged in advance.
Student Fees
Fifteen dollars ($15) when attending under as a student. Please enclose a copy of student ID with registration.
Non-Membership Fees
Eighty- five dollars ($85) per person per day to offset expenses. Payments are due one week in advance of training unless special arrangements are made with NMPSA Director.
Other Fees
An additional twenty five dollars ($25) per person for registrations received after the registration deadline. Registration after deadline does not guarantee admission to the training.
